2016 was a year of growth. At 14 and 12, Matthew and Stefan are now in full sarcasm mode and were very active observers and commentators on the US Presidential election. Their wit kept us laughing despite the election of the orange cretin.
The boys continue to play soccer (football) and flag football (American football) in season while also riding their horses year round. Matthew is in 8th grade and going through a somewhat rigorous high school application process while taking his mock British accent to new levels. Stefan is mastering 6th grade as well as lego, card tricks, and hilarious observations on life.
Kath was very busy riding her horse, serving on the board of the Cathedral School for Boys and volunteering for Hillary Clinton. Chris ended a short stint as interim CEO at Open Garden and is now an Entrepreneur in Residence at Benchmark Capital. It’s a fancy title at a prestigious firm, and he’s lucky to have the support of Benchmark as he looks for the next company to run.
This summer, we got to spend time with both sides of the family in Samos, Greece. We’re looking forward to some quiet time off in San Francisco over the holidays.
We wish you love and happiness during your holidays and throughout 2017. As they never say at the barn, happy trails.
