2020 started out well with a family trip to Hawaii in January. And then life changed for everyone.
Matthew (nearly 18) and Stefan (16) have been “attending” high school exclusively from home this year. Once the initial stay at home orders ended, they went back to horse riding with Kath and the 3 of them got to compete in a horse show during the summer.
Matthew is now in his senior year in high school (12th grade) and is applying to colleges. He worked as an intern for 2 political campaigns in the fall (Josh Harder for US Congress and Myrna Melgar for San Francisco city supervisor) and also acted in the school play. Stefan is in his sophomore year (10th grade). In his spare time, he has taken up bicycling and gardening.
Kath worked on the election as well, writing over 3,000 postcards to US voters in swing states, among other things. She’s also been active in our local neighborhood where she’s involved in turning a parking lot into a park. And she’s been very busy with Brady United against gun violence.
After leaving Vivino last year, Chris has spent 2020 advising companies and mentoring people. But most of his time was spent cooking and learning to make sourdough bread, just like everyone else.
We are thankful for the time we spent together as a family this year and feel compassion for those who have faced difficulty during the pandemic. We hope to see you next year, hopefully in person, if not via the phone, Zoom, Google Meet, FaceTime, Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp. Until then, we wish you happy holidays and a healthy and joyful 2021.
Love,
Chris, Kath, Matthew and Stefan
