2025 was a good year. At the risk of embarrasing my family, I wanted to use this year's holiday "card" to give you a brief update on me and to tell you some of the things that make me proud of the three people I love most.
Chris
I continue my work supporting companies as a venture partner at Serac Ventures and through my little consulting firm, Trefo. I also started providing business and career advice on Substack.
Kath
Kath has been a dynamo this year. In addition to her work on the national board of directors at Brady, she was deeply involved in raising and distributing $1.8 million in funds to support San Francisco nonprofits who had been cheated by their fiscal sponsor. And she became the chairperson of the Ocean Avenue Association Community Benefits District.
Matthew
Matthew turns 23 in January. After just 7 semesters, he graduated from Cornell University this month with a dual degree in Math and Government. He plans to travel in the Spring before starting a new job in New York City in July.
Stefan
Stefan turned 21 in November. He applies his gift as a writer through his regular contributions to the AI 101 newsletter and his own website, which includes blog posts and product reviews. He is now in his third year at the University of Pennsylvania.
I hope you get to spend your 2026 doing great things and spending time with the people you love.
